These yellow shirts attract all sorts of cheers (maybe because there were 150 of us…)

Shoutout to my friend Olivia for being the best running buddy around

On Sunday, I ran the Cambridge Half Marathon in 1 hour 48 minutes and 52 seconds!  We started near MIT, and wound our way through the residential area behind their campus for the first few miles until we joined the river at Harvard. From there, we ran along the Charles until we reached Watertown, where we crossed the river and started running back toward Boston. We crossed back into Cambridge at Harvard and continued along Memorial Drive until we ended up at the finish line! This section (the last 3 or so miles of the race) is one of my favorite places to run in Boston because you get a great view across the river of downtown Boston. Despite the near-constant drizzle (and the occasional heavier shower), the exceptional quantity of mud, and the crowds, I ran faster (but somehow, felt better) than I thought was possible; and can’t wait to keep running!
