Edinburgh(?) in Pictures

Inverary, Scotland

Inverary Castle, Inverary, Scotland

At the castle there were black sheep…

…and white sheep (and baby sheep!)

After I was done with finals, I packed up my room, said my goodbyes, and headed to Edinburgh to meet my parents for some end-of-semester, celebratory travels. We started in Scotland, to see Inverary Castle (the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, Chief of Clan Campbell aka Campbell Castle). The castle was built in the 1400s, but has been well preserved, and is now full of armor and Campbell relics/memorabilia. Fun fact: it was featured in the 2012 Christmas episode of Downton Abbey. After a day in Inverary, we went back to Edinburgh. Though we went on a fun running tour of the city, and visited to the National Gallery, we didn’t really do more of the touristy things in the city…we were saving them for next time, perhaps?
