What I Learned: Week 17

  1. “Canelita en rama” literally means a little stick of cinnamon, but is used to say something is really good.
  2. Spanish youth talk about the same things as American youth.
  3. But Spanish young adults don’t understand tipping.
  4. Spaniards learn British english in school.
  5. Most Spanish language pop music comes from Latin America.
  6. Spanish playing cards don’t have 8 or 9, and have different suits than in the US (clubs, pieces of cold, cups, and swords).
  7. Galicia is beautiful.
